I got a present from the postman today, a pair of Blytz short boots.

I got a good deal on them for half price, so around £25. Wore them today for about 20 miles. I found them very comfy and they seemed to give me plenty of support. I think they are a pretty generic boot, badged up under different names such as FT, Nitro and Akito.

Really mpressed with them for the price, and they should fit their purpose pretty well, which on this bike will be to ferry me to the train station, and then carry me accross the tube network to west london daily.

I will be looking for a pair of longer boots aswell, has anybody else had a longer pair of boots from one of these brands, they are cheap, and these seem good quality, so if anybody can rate them I might just buy a pair

these?

Exactly the same as my boots. They're definately generic and rebadged as mine are 'Tuzo' but identicle.

Very comfy, very waterproof, mine were about £30 I think

ah no idea about them, I prefer to not wear anything shorter than those others I posted. I like the support (plus I can tuck my work pants in to stop them getting grim in the bad weather).

I got
https://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/special_buys3_23488.htm
from Aldi last week, they're quite comfy, and a heck of alot better than the ones I got from Scotspeed which were twice the price of them.

Fixed the URL and stuff haha

They're probs not as short as they look, they fully cover my ankles. That was the main thing i was concerned about actually as I have a dodgy ankle from a sky diving injury from a couple of years ago, well if you call falling off a fence sky diving that is

They look not bad. Where/how did you get them for £25? I wouldn't mind a pair at that price.

I recently got the pair Shinigami posted for just £12 - they were second hand but basically new! Haven't worn them on the bike yet (not on the road atm Sad ), but they seem sturdy and well made.

And seeing as they're worth £60 new, I'm not complaining!

My O/H has a pair of the Tuzo branded boots and they seem to be decent quality for the price. Thumbs Up

(and considering I paid £80+ for a pair of similar Arlen Ness branded boots, my boots haven't worn well at all.)

Had a pair of those tuzos for about 8 months until the sole snapped on each boot, which meant water getting in through the bottom. They were quite good until that happened though. Comfy, but that's as they aren't very armoured, still they'll hold up better than trainers in an off

yeah they're not as armoured as the race style boots i've got but they're much more practical in that

a) i can walk in them
b) i can get away with wearing them in work as no one seems to have noticed they're not just black shoes yet (despite the big gear change protector)

Plenty of brands go up that far, see here for example.

You'll probably find no one in UK imports them though. Might be worth checking with distributors.

Edit: there seem to be some here Thumbs Up
