I believe it's; cannabis, hash, ecstasy (MDMA) and perhaps herion & coke? Not sure on those two.

Next one down is strips of LSD

Last one I think is meth?

I appreciate the sentiment, nhung khong muon noi tieng Viet. *shudders*

One question, is Japanese 'tonal'? Like Chinese/Thai/Viet everywhere bloody else in 'Asia'. Got Chinese girlfriend, but really want to learn a language without tones next...

Cheers for the well wishing, drug and sti obsessed though it was Wink I caught up with a few old friends and had much beer bought for me by people, and got aggressively chatted up by a drugged up ugly girl and had to hide.

Then the man flu cometh.

But, I'm considering the party with the "chosen ones" in a week to be a delayed birthday party. And that should, hopefully, have more nose candy.

I called in a birthday favour last night and have a bit more supply incoming Smile

Which is nice.

He was saying the spice was shite and needed more purification. And I'll be avoiding it on the night cheers, but would like some more time to tickle it.

I have a very nice snooter to play with, which I'd forgotten about, and I'm guessing my speed with chop-sticks will transfer to other implements Wink

No. Japanese isn't a tonal language. Tonal languages look so difficult to learn.

Thanks Kawashima. Erm, it depends. Chinese people can learn Thai very easily, because they share the tones.

However, I got by despite being tone-deaf in speaking/listening in Thai/Viet. The correct way to learn is to get the tones first, and I will when learning Chinese... but it's not needed to just do simple conversation/get-by. But towards the end I was getting good at Thai, and kept getting caught out by words with different tones. And I'd like to say words alone, rather than in a sentence.

So, Japanese seems the better bet. If I don't marry this Chinese girl... I'll learn Japanese. Deal? Laughing

I will, and better yet, so will Silky. Not sure on any times, but give me a call tomorrow. He's going to Rileys with me when he gets here (membership, 2 hours and a pint for a tenner).... if you want to do the same deal? And/or there's something on at the Dead later on that I got invited to...

Meh, surprise me (in advance, with warning... obviously Laughing)

I did a year of Cantonese. Not the easiest of languages Laughing

Japanese words seem easier to form individually. I'm still getting to grips with the way sentences are structured.

Very simply by and large, it's a language quite dependant on context.

With the way you've managed Thai and Vietnamese Bonny you'll have little difficulty with Japanese. The biggest problem will be getting any Japanese to speak it with you; even with a vague ability with English they'll use it with foreigners.

Well, this is one thing I'd like to get more information on, is Chinese residency rights in other countries... and when married to a Brit.

I keep telling her to find out.

I don't support any weddings but green card m'dear. And this one is very special.

The nazis running this shithole decided to give illegal immigrants carte blanche while making it extremely difficult, and very expensive, for foreign spouses of UK nationals to get permanent residency here. They brought in new rules a couple of years after Noriko got all her gubbins and I know from a mate who had his wife here recently, before they separated, that he was going to have to hand over £750 just for processing an app that had no gaurantee of acceptance. If you want to live here with your foreign spouse you have to be very well heeled...basically just another nice privilage for the wealthy.
