Hi all.

I have thought long and hard about doing this.

I've been in contact with my painter for the last 3 days. He has not offered me any compensation for the work done.

He has had the chance to redeem himself.

It all started when I wanted my wheels painted and polished.
He also offered to do my tank and panels.

He was recommended.

I will let the pics do the talking.......

His name is AL WEST and is based in DUDLEY/BIRMINGHAM goes under WEST POLISHING AND PAINTING

Sorry if I have offended anybody for doing this.

Nick

That's atrocious, even I could do better with a couple of tins of Halfords own brand. Shocked

What's the bulk of his business? Creosoting sheds?

Even Stevie Wonder would have felt those lumps & runs.

Thats shocking. Shocked

I wonder if AL WEST in DUDLEY/BIRMINGHAM at WEST POLISHING AND PAINTING will join BCF and give it the "big'un"

What did he say when you confronted him?

that is horrific! only made worse by the fact it was done by someone claiming to b a painter - i would be making him pay for a competent painter to re-do the job.

His work makes even me look good.

I would be gutted to get that back. Don't apologise for trying to save someone else going through what you've experienced.

Right, they finally finished painting the Forth Road Bridge, I wondered what happened to all the workers.

Looks shoddy alright, was he told to sand it down and paint or is that just expected? Because some of that looks like chips ect that are already there.

Mate that is terrible work. We would never be able to get away with anything like that. To be honest I don't even see how he's managed to do half of it!
Take it up further. He can't be out there doing work like that. People can do jobs themselves who have never painted better than that!

Any painter should flat anything down like that to paint. It's common sense. He needs a slap.
The wheels puzzle me what he's attempted to do. He's just painted and grinded the edges to give them the polished look. Which doesn't look good.

That is poor work. Can't believe someone could do that and then have the confidence to actually try and CHARGE for it?

This is why you don't pay a penny until work is completed and checked, any tradesman/professional who asks for ANY money upfront should be avoided.

Thumbs Up

Basically he's singling me out because I dared to vote down one of his posts. Very Happy
He sent me a barrage of abusive PMs for that, so I blocked him. Now he's on some silly little mission to nitpick all my posts. Something I might have done when I was 12. Rolling Eyes
