I was told about this yesterday. The item that is, not the actual advertising. Considering it, but I don't know I'd make much use of it.

Are they allowed to do that?

I know it's posted in the public domain but you could just lift anything and take it out of context.

To be fair, it's not really taken out of context, but to attribute it to the whole site is a little rich. As far as he was concerned it was a cracking little compressor.

TBF the comment was published in a public website and it was referenced.

My handlebar muff review was poached on eBay posted my review

The funny part is that it is full of muff inuendos and after about 5 posts it descends into a typical BCF thread of threats, insults, pisstaking and shit talking Smile.

I did say that, but the branding on that compressor is different to the one I had. Mine wasn't a WorkZone, it was something else. Also being that they don't qualify the statement with "I had it for three years until it was nicked!" They kinda shoot themselves in the foot a bit! Wink

{edit} I wonder if I edited my post now, would that make them liars! Wink )

Something to do with going in for repair ever 6months for a new motor, then wheels, then pressure valve etc etc

If you NEED an air compressor, then this is definately NOT for you.

For fair balance this has not been my experience. I brought the 2.5hp compressor from Aldi about 4-5 years ago, I can't be arsed to take a look but it might have been branded Wolf and it looks very similar to this one but in yellow. I've used it a fair bit for spraying and with the impact wrench on a good number of occasions. It is still working just fine.

That was my thread too Cool

That is.... rather weird though. It's amazing what companies will do to make their product look better!

Surely taking the views of a regular person from a random forum is better than asking a well known media worker to write biased comments for cash? I'm thinking of when some terrible game/film has it's cover littered with must have ratings that the producers paid for.

If the best quote you can get for your product is from a online bike forum filled with cats giving fellatio well, it isn't going to provide me with much confidence. Thumbs Up

However I will be picking up the impact gun and shot blaster.

Parkside? I have a Parkside I got from Lidl a few years ago, worked well until it started leaking air through one of the o-rings that seal the ends of the tank. Anyone had this on an air compressor? It means I can't inflate tyres above 30psi Sad

As Babba said, it's still a fair bit of money for some tools and a compressor, you'd probably be better off spending more on a compressor that will actually last if you plan to use it for tools etc.

It's a bit cheeky to associate it to the website - if they'd specifically referenced "Marjay" it would seem more reasonable.

Wonder if they'll come here for quotes for welders too?
