I'm interested in participating in some offroad riding, or quad bike riding etc, something like yamaha offer in it's school. Does anyone have any experience of this or know the best venues (pre in South/East)?

I'm not an offroad rider so it's for laughs.

If you are in the South-East like your post suggests then there can be none better than that run by ex-dakar racer Patsy Quick

https://adventureridingacademy.com/

As it says in the blurb 'courses for all levels from complete beginners to advanced in the UK' and with these courses being held in Sussex it will not be too far to go.

I did a Yamaha Offroad experience It was great, it wasn't cheap but plenty of riding and great fun.

Usual advice from me is that if you can find some people willing to let you have a play, just go for a general mess about on a friend etc's bike.

Unfortunately I no longer have my enduro bikes, nor do I live in the South, but in the past I've invited people to come along and give it a go.

Normal road kit normally does an ok job for protection, then covering the fuel costs etc for the other person offers you much better 'value' per riding time offered generally.
