Motorcycle Tests

well i intend on doing my test this year to avoid the ridiculous changes next year, i know the theory test is 43/50, as for the hazard perception is it similar to the car one ? e.g press the mouse when a fucking sheep crosses the road ?

mod 1 seems straight forward sounds fairly easy (and very similar to the cbt?)

mod 2 however, safety and balance questions, what do they ask ?

as i have my cbf 125, i believe i will be restricted for 2 years, is that so ? (not fussed anyways about that just wanna lose the l's and start to save for a bigger bike like the new nc700s)

1.) Yes it is exactly the same as the car one.

2.) Similar, but not "easy". plenty of people fail for not observing like they would on the road, or putting feet down during the manouvers, or locking up under braking. definitely needs practice, and worth a lesson or two with an instructor.

3.) Balance questions? Whut? Safety ones are usually something like, how do you check the horn works, how do you check the brakes work, how do you check the oil. Easy peasy.

4.) Yes, you will be restricted to bikes with a maximum power of 33bhp for 2 years.

If you already have a bike, I'd recommend getting the theory out of the way because it's piss easy and cheap. Then like roger said, do the Mod 1 until you pass. Then once you've got some miles under your belt, do an hour or two of lessons then sit the Mod 2. I don't see the point of loads of lessons when you have a bike of your own and miles and miles of public road to practice on.
