Well I got myself a little Muvi Cam for the bargan price of £15 posted off the bay, its not brilliant but not bad either, tested it today on my commute to work and picture quality aint bad, wind noise is quite loud but for the money its ok for occasional use, any way I've uploaded a small edited vid to youtube, towards the end you will see a biker in front of me who nearly gets taken out twice by the same cab, first time just before entering a bus lane, 2nd time when filtering up the outside of stationary traffic.
Excuse the clutch basket rattle from my divvy, they all do it apparently and theres no 100% known cure. Crying or Very sad

Hi mate, you can cure the wind noise with a bit of selotape wrapped round it. Also you can fit a mobile phone jelly wide angle lense off ebay.

Thumbs Up

That looks brilliant for 15 quid!

What's the memory like - do you need an additional card?

How do you know if it's recording?

Also how did you fit it?

Razz Thumbs Up

Far too many chances of getting caught out filtering like that.
The biker was in a no-man's land hatched area when the taxi pulled out.
Buses, Taxis and etc. do unexpected things unexpectedly so beware the unexpected. Sorry.

Good camera. Can you put some foam over the mike?

That's pretty decent quality for the price you paid for it.

My commute seems rather mundane compared to yours. So glad I don't have to go through that every day.

Commute looks a right pain in the arse!

Distressed by that biker though - clearly hadnt made his decision early enough. The fact he took so long to rejoin the left of the road was most distressing though!

Good quality video from that cam. Please don't film every commute though! Give us some fun vids Wink.

Fooker doesn't work on Windows 7 platform.

It does record while charging, just need the proper cable.
I use one "stripped" version of this on my helmet to record my daily commute, attached to a phone battery it records for around 5 hours in a 8GB card.

Now I've updated to a 808#16 (£25 from China) which in theory supports loop recording, so no need to remove the SD card at the end of the week Smile

Looks like a generic MD80 clone, £11 delivered from UK stock from a hojillion eBay sellers, plus the price of a memory card. I have one, the picture quality is pretty decent, and it's small enough to tuck right inside the lining of my helmet. It has a very fragile air to it though, I doubt it'll last long.

Fair enough, I'll have to keep my eye out for a second hand one. GoPros are £140 on amazon atm, I'm so tempted.
