Some Before and after shot of my XC, Been fitting it out over the past few months making it suitable for overlanding after my R100GSPD was wrote off Crying or Very sad

Still a few bits left to do mainly waiting for a hyperpro shock and forks before it goes to Morocco next month, I,m a bit warey over using a fuel injected watercooled ABS bike loaded with sensors and other eletrical bits and bobs compaired to my simple aircooled GS but they seems to have good reviews and others have traveled over 50-70,000 miles on theres.

Needs a high mudguard to look 'right'.

Presumably removed for road stability at speed?

Exactly what I thought, looks like a fat bird with a diet coke currently.
I'm assuming its to prevent a lot of muck going up high enough to screw with sensors?

The low fender is off a F800GS using it to stop rocks and shit from being throw into the rad, unlike most water cooled offroad bikes this does,nt have two rads either side of the frame but has a one going across the front like on a road bike which with the high fender covers overs 1/3 of it surface area and allows muck to be thrown into the rad.

Going to see how it behaves with the low fender once i,ve got the Michilen deserts fitted as the clearance may be too low.

That tank is massive - what is the capacity?

I'd be worried about it being holed when you drop it too?

Would probably take a hell of a knock before the tank gave way, they're normally pretty tough!

I had the same thought, how does it pull fuel from the very bottom of the tank?

Can you not get a decent rad guard to protect it?

The tank is 16 liter with a fuel tap each lower side plumbed into the main 9 liter underseat tank breather, the main tank has a fuel pump so fuel is sucked from the 16 liter tank keeping the main tank full and as its suction its not effected by gravity like on a normal bike, with this setup l get around 350-400 mile range.

The tank is also nylon so is very strong and has a steel brace between each side.

I,ve got a good rad guard but it will not stop mud and crap from clogging up the fins.

You're riding that thing to morroco, with those tyres on? surely they'll be both wrecked by the time you get there and completely unsuitable for the roads (unless you're going to bomb down the verge the whole way there Twisted Evil )
