Was supposed to get a sports tourer, and my wife kept telling me she wanted a seat with good pillion space... um.....Well I tried.

To be fair the seat is ok

So what do you think??

Could really do with a little help too. Not ridden a bike in over a year and that was an SV650S. I have butterflies in my stomach because I don't want to drop it, or come off. Just been too long since i've ridden.

Anyone give me some tips? Or do you think it will be ok?

look in good nic but I've never really like the colour scheme on the old ninjas, they seen to become outdated quicker than other bikes.
Other than that nice bike, seen quite a few people on ninjas with pillions so it shouldn't be a problem

Thats a great looking bike!
Don't worry about the year off. I had the same thing today, rode after over a year away, and it comes back to you VERY quickly.
Just take it easy the first few miles, take your time with things to get used to the bike and you will be as fresh as ever

I've had mine for around a month, so can't offer too much advice, but if you have any questions feel free to send over a PM.

If it helps, my misses seems to think the pillion seat isn't too bad, even for longer journeys. She did say something about a numb bum though

Personally I'd get that stupid small number plate swapped back, oh and maybe a normal screen would tone it down a little.

I'm a bit jealous - got my eye on a zx9r to replace the fazer later in the year.

They are nice bikes, and an absolute steal for the money.

Allegedly the green ones are fastest.

You did basically buy a 'sporty' sports tourer. Absolute fine for pillion, decent sized comfy seat, plenty room and quite low in comparison to the crazy high pillion seats on a full on supersports. Get one of them non slip tribo seat covers - jobs a good un.

Lovely looking bike. How many miles has it done?

When I first saw these, I thought my god they were ugly. Over the last 2 years I've learnt to love the look of them.

The sound though, it's something else. There isn't anything like the sound of a carb'd kawak on the over run

I found one local to me, was it not for the £2500 they wanted to insure the thing I'd have gone and looked with intention to buy!

I always wonder why people think the G1/G2 Ninja is a sports tourer...

You got a sportsbike there mate, enjoy.

My girlfriend used to complain after London - >Bournemouth distances on the back of my G2.

I would only be sore after 600+ miles.
