I like to see rented properties on internet and I usually browse them everyday.
Yesterday I found a rented house named "riders mansion" in Tokyo and I thought it interesting.
Its ground and first floors are bike shop.
3rd to 6th floors are rented rooms. It has 40 rooms and each room has bike garage next to the room. So all people who live in this mansion are riders. And the mansion has lifts which can carry your bike and you.

What do you think of this idea? Do you want to live in these type of house?

You don't have to worry your bike nicked, and every one who live in this mansion love motorcycle, you can drink coffee watching your bike.

Want.

That's also a pretty good rent rate, as well; I'd expect to pay something similar to that over here; admittedly, you'd get a bit more space, but I'd imagine that the services in Japan are more reliable/appropriately priced.

I did. The bike had been exported to Portugal and re-imported back to Japan (regulations) and I reckon it had suffered from the heat in storage or something as one of the carb-rubbers was leaking fuel (discovered when I was fitting a Dynojet jet kit for a sports exhaust) and one of the rear wheel-bearings dried out and failed (one day out of warranty). They agreed to fix it nonetheless but had to drill out the dead bearing and made a bit of a mess of the wheel. I gave them a serious bollocking over the carb, the potential was there for a fire. Nice guys though. Thumbs Up

Looks like a good idea and your guaranteed to have like minded neighbours, I would fill the Balcony and living room up with other bikes too then use the garage for the daily bike and as a workshop.

Looks like the room to the left of the W.C, big enough for a bed.

Really cool! Thumbs Up

Although I'd do away with the bathroom, don't need it in such a tiny place if you've already got a shower & sink room.

Looks like we're missing a trick over here. I mean in somewhere like London where there are many bike courriers and ped riders a building like that would make a small fortune.

Something to consider when I win the Lottery me thinks.

Pinky's Palaces could be a possibility.

I would absolutely love that,

As it is living in london i would love a garage alone, but having it so close would be amazing.

I would pay untold rent for that!

Elf n safety?

I wouldn't be surprised if there was some law in this country that forbade carrying petrol in a lift, or some such bollocks.

Thats exactly what Mrs Pinky just said too. But it didnt stop me from playing with my expert windows microdick paint program and coming up with this.

Now all I need is the monies and a fool to invest in me so we can build Pinky's Palace in every major city in the UK.

Thats why I reinvented it for the UK market. Its a well known fact that the Jipnap people are much smaller than us UK people and we need more space. With mine I guarantee a living room space big enough to swing a cat, a galley kitchen and a decent sized double bedroom all for a reasonable £1000 per month in London, £600 in other cities.

Where could you find your own double secured parking space (your key controls the outside entrance and inner lift doors).

EDIT: after checking out local prices of rental in London I have been forced to increase my monthly rental price.

Yeah but that's make believe. If you actually had that going I guess that's not a bad price. Still, I'd never afford it on my salary. Not unless I was living with someone.

Mysterious, Mrs Pinky says the same thing. Alas it will never become a reality because I lack the fundage to even consider it but the plan, thanks to Mr Kawashima, has imbedded itself into my brain and I will die knowing that is one of the great plans Pinky had for his retirement not forefilled.

To be honest I think even in 106,000yen it's a little bit expensive compared to average price for its size, but the exchange rate(130yen/1£) may be more of the reason of unnaturalness. I've been felt that around 200yen/1£ of rate should be natural for both of us in daily living I guess(reading BCF threads). (106,000yen should be £530 per month in this rate)

I'm thinking an extra floor added to my plan Pinky's Penthouse. Balcony, roof garden and a 3 bedroom flat. Rent free of course because the downstairs neighbours and shops would cover that.
