Reccomend me a cheap alternative to a Go-Pro

As above I want a cheap camera that isn't shocking quality, mainly for using on track and stuff.

Would love a go-pro but can't justify it.

I have an £8 chinese MD80 clone, it is actually pretty good quality. Only problem is short recording time but for track that prob doesn't matter so much.

I have that Action Cam from Chili technology. Works and does the job fine.

Dont know how much it cost but I know it was no way as expensive as a go pro.

Are you looking for one that records straight to SD? I've got a bullet camera I'll let go for next to nothing if you're interested? Needs to record on to something with a AV in i think though.

I use an 808 #11 which costs about £25 IIRC. I'm nearly there with mounting it safely in my helmet. Decent HD video and good microphone, and discreet too.

My you tube channel (biotaw1 if you want to have a look) has loads of track videos recorded on an MD80...it's ok but not great.

I just spent £130 on an HD170 Stealth that's much better and so much easier to use.

I just received a 808#16 to replace my "original/metal" MD80

Quality is quite good and it does have some nice features like
loop recording (in 5 minutes blocks) so, if the card is full. it will delete the oldest clip which is nice.
On his own battery it last for 45 minutes a at "real" 720
but it can record while plug to a USB which make things easier.

It's a big upgrade since the 808#11, the firmware is updatable, and you can configure lots of things like led flashing, timestamp and file size/res.

It's not a gopro, but for 25 quid is good enough and a lot smaller
(it fits quite nice on inside of the helmet)

I've been considering a go-pro for some time, not so I can act like a knob and then upload it to youtube, but so I can review riding later on and just have a general look through it.

As with most people though, I do occasionally go past posted speed limits, my worry with the Go-Pro is it looks kinda obvious and camera like. If a plod car wings past and spots it, how likely are they to want to pull you over for a 'chat'?
