do I have to sorn? Insurance is expiring tomorrow

Hi, the t'cat is only insured till tomorrow night, does that mean I have to sorn it because I'm not re-insuring? Selling it so I need tax on it so it can be ridden home.

Unfortunately, yes.

I'm in the same corner as you here. I want to sell the bike with a years tax, but I can't because my insurance runs out a day after the tax does. I could buy tax now, but I'd have to sorn it when the insurance ran out.

PITA law in my opinion.

My housemate had a similar with the car and DVLA actually said that first month or two is ok to have it that way (taxed but not insured), but it's not really an official way, so they do close both eyes with these cases, but only for a bit.

I had my bike uninsured and not SORN for nearly 4 months while i was waiting to do my CBT. Never had any problems.
