Just sending out a public thank you to Paddy who has very kindly picked my bike up tonight to do some work on it. Brake pads, fork seals and replacing one of the exhausts to be exact.

I feel bad as I'm pretty much working 7 days a week at the moment so can't even lend a hand or learn a thing or two.

Massive thanks anyway and thought I'd let everyone know. Thumbs Up

If it does come back, what are the chances it will have a twisted sub-frame, slack chain and be in dire need of a new power band?

I heard he has a fetish for sponge and returns people's bikes with a seat full of semen.

It is just a rumour mind.

Yeah, top bloke. Just re-done my fork seals for me. That included picking it up from my mums bf, getting the seals and fitting them with new oil, then taking them back. Top guy Thumbs Up

It'll come back with bald tyres, no fairings, orange wheels, a yellow rag for a seat, hollowed out stubby can, leaky fork seals, no mirrors and an emo haircut.

Laughing

Only joking of course, it's not coming back.

Got my bike back from Paddy tonight, all sorted. Took it out for a short ride earlier and it feels like a different bike!. It sounds good and everything feels better, gear changes feel smooth, power feels good.

Lucky to have Paddy living so close, definitely saved me some bother as well as a few quid!

Hope to get time off work and join him on a ride too.

Thumbs Up

No problem, glad its much better. Fork seals from the 90's probably wasn't helping Wink

Handled better than my bike...may need to sort my forks. Also your forks are on the softest setting so you might need to set them up to your usual setting. Your fork oil was also quite old and disgustingly smelly. Laughing

Think your idle is a bit high when warm... manual says 1300rpm, yours was a bit above 1500rpm once I got to yours.

Get that tyre checked though... From photos it looks like nothing, I'll upload one is a sec.

As I said, no worries and thank you for the paddock stand, will get used a lot Thumbs Up

Doesn't look that bad, looks like its only in a little.. If it were me I'd ride there, pull it out and look.

If its leaking plug it. Doubt it will though.
