9:30 Friday I had a call to sort out a parts delivery screw up.

2:30pm I was in Calais collecting the part The route

Down through Belgium and Luxembourg, into Germany and across the border to deliver at Forbach, France at 8:30pm.

80 ish miles back up through France to a F1 hotel to get my head down and back on the road at 10am Sat morning.

Arrived back in UK at 5:20pm on the tunnel

A cloud of steam on the M25 signalled bad news and me stripping down the bike in Clacket Lane services
https://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo141/bramble43/5-8.jpg

Had to call a very nice man to get bike back
https://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo141/bramble43/6-6.jpg

Ended up going home in this.

It's looking like one of the hoses in the 'V', under the carbs will have split so tomorrow i'm in the workshop in bristol.

My van also has a hose leaking, my scoot has a screwed engine i'm meant to be changing tomorrow and now one of the pans won't hold any water.

Not a good week for my vehicles. It can only get better.

If looked after, not abused and mostly motorways (a.k.a Marmalade's), Pan Europeans can do quite well on mileage.

Honda ST1100 pan European

I'll put the engine out of one I broke up last week into it in next few weeks.

In the meantime I've just bought this one that I've spent all afternoon preparing for work.
New brake master, new pads, charge sockets and sat nav mount

Sorry to hear about that. Any idea what caused the engine block to crack? Overheating?

So how many Pans do you have now? The broken one, the new one and a parts one?

That is a lot of pans! I guess you need them to keep your work bike(s) on the road...

Weird. Confused

Usually it's just the coolant elbows under the carbs that crack or perish - not the block itself.

Got any pics of the damage?

But I do know the crack is just below the left hand head at back of engine, above alternator.

On a different matter, I've changed the engine in my scoot and took it for a 150 mile ride today and it all seems ok
