I thought they were all basically even on power and reliability, but the seemless shift technology on the honda helped with acceleration. It appears that ducati have it, or a version of it too now.

Better than last year I think. The tail unit looks far less chunky which is nice.

As it stands, I reckon Stoner will do well again this year BUT he's going to have more competition, that Yamaha isn't far off, Jorge is quick and if Dani doesn't injure himself, then he's quick as well.

HRC haven't done a public 'race distance' test on that bike yet, but the results from Jorge, who is super smooth was that the tyres were shagged towards the end. Comparing Jorge and Caseys styles, it'll be interesting to see how Casey/Nicky/etc do towards the end of a race.

As for the duke, i dont think it's over yet, it'll be interesting to see the Jerez test results this week. But Barbera was 0.6 off Stoner on the GP0 in Sepang 2, on the same bike Vale was 1.5 off at Valencia, and thats a shorter track. I think with setup improvements and going after laps it wont be so bad. I hope i'm not wrong, but if the first iteration can get to 0.6 from Stoner with Barbera at the helm, either Barbera has got very very good or the GP12 has got very bad.

If Ducati are sandbagging, they've got everyone fooled though. Looks like it's gonna be an ok season though, just cant wait to see how race 1 pans out.
