Armstrong pads - crap IMO.

Had to fit some pads in my Bandit to get it through the MOT, and all I could get were some 'Armstrong' ones for the front, EBC for the rear.

Rear brake bedded in really quickly, nice feel and just about right for stopping power.

Fronts have kinda bedded in but need a lot of pull on the lever to produce any real stopping power, and even then it's not fantastic. I'm lucky having strong hands due to my job so I can just squeeze a bit more than normal but after 100 miles of use these pads are not nearly as good as the ones that came off. Won't be using these out of choice ever again.

Never used Armstrong's, but I've had Goldfren's on a few of my bikes and cant really fault them to be honest.

The fact there cheap as chips always helps.

I bought some Armstrong pads as part of a deal together with some discs.Having tried just the rear pads I have to say that they were next to useless,despite giving them sufficient mileage to run them in.

They still sit in my box of spares

I've tended to always use EBC anyway but good to know that they are better than other cheaper brands nonetheless.

Yeah Armstrongs are shit, some couriers use them because they are half the price of others, but you get half the life or what have you so a false economy. Best pads IMHO are Ferodo...
