That YBR looks very cheap to me, ask yourself why it could be cheap.
Or could it be you are just in a very different area to me?

YBR definitely. I would touch either of the others wirh a 10ft Barge Pole. See if you can find a 2000 - 2007 Honda CG 125 or a 2008 - 2009 Honda CBF 125. May be a little cheaper? ____________________ CBT Passed - 22 / 10 / 11 >> Theory Passed - 16 / 02 / 2012 >> Mod 1 Passed - 07 / 03 / 2012 >> Mod 2 Passed - 18 / 05 / 2012. |

We've seen 2010 YBRs going for £900, keep looking.
That £600 HN125-8 has the merit that it's unlikely to lose much more value, if you keep it running and shiny. You'll find the Lexmoto Vixen version easier to insure though. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

I've seen that before, I think I disregarded it but can't remember why. Would it need a chain guard and battery cover for an MOT? Probably sold by now.
There's this:

Don't fancy venturing into London to look though, doesn't say when MOT is due, plus I can't buy something from someone with such awful camera skills!! ____________________ Trev, now a biker?

Why do people sell bikes with helmets/boots included in the price? Even the gloves are unlikely to be a good fit.
Looks pretty beaten up too, are parts such as those easy to find? ____________________ Trev, now a biker?

Clocks can run expensive, but that just looks like a crack in the rev counter casing, probably repairable. Bulbs and indicators are generic and cheap. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Thanks for the info everyone.
So 3 potentials to look at over the weekend, 2 from this forum.
1) 55 Honda CG125. MOT Dec. 14K miles. No steering lock but very clean looking.
4 hour ride to get it home!
£1000
2) 56 Honda CG125. MOT Sep. 10K miles. 1 key, bent brake handle, cracked clock housing but recently serviced.
Owner will deliver for train fare.
£895
3) 09 Yamaha YBR125. MOT Jun. 9K miles. Cracked speedo, blown speedo bulb, offside front indicator lens missing. Includes helmet, jacket, 2 pairs of gloves, boots, chain and padlock.
2 hour ride home.
£995
I'm edging towards the YBR, because I'm sure it's injection rather than carb, I know that's a pro for some people and a con for others, but I'm in the former camp. Maybe can get a deal if I can persuade him I don't need the gear with it (cos I don't). ____________________ Trev, now a biker?

Number 1 and 2 are still on the cards, number 2 mainly, but need a way to get it home. Best quote for delivery is £95 which is way over my absolute total budget of £900.
Number 3 got sold the day before I wanted to view.
There's this:

It's got loads of high quality pictures ____________________ Trev, now a biker?
