So what do you guys prefer? I prefer the look of naked bikes, but wouldn't mind a nice fairing when the weather turns for the worse.

I love my bike, but one day want something along the lines of a Speed Triple/CB1000/Z1000/KTM 990

I think it's impossible for most people to pick one or the other.

Personally? If I want to go for a hoon with a group of riders, I'd rather be on a faired sports bike.

However, if I want a comfortable ride at a steady pace, I'd rather be on a faired sports tourer type motorcycle OR an unfaired upright commuting bike like a Hornet/STriple.

You need an option for both, and you only need to post it once. Laughing!

There is no best,

Faired = wind protection, (potentially) better fuel economy and top speed. But, higher insurance, higher repair costs. Arguably better looking.

Un faired = lower insurance, lower repair costs but no wind protection, worse fuel economy & top speed. Arguably better looking.

Can I have a meh or horses for courses choice in the poll?
