Quick question: Hornet engine casing?

A bit of the engine casing on my Hornet got scratched from my accident the other day. Found a replacement on ebay, but it's from a 2006 model, just checked it looking at the one on my bike and it looks identical. I'm guessing it will fit then? Or could the engine behind the casing some how be configured differently?

Sorry if it's not in the right section, but i need an answer so i know whether to go for it or not.

Afaik the different years engine casings are all the same, apart from slight variation in colour.

Up until 2007's model anyway.
