Planned today to remove both wheels ready for the tyres to fitted on Tuesday. Rear wheel came off no problem but I had trouble with the front. One of the pinch bolts is on so tight, it's started to round off.

Apart from drilling it, what can I do, and where can I get a replacement from?

Cheers

What bike?

Are there 2 pinch bolts on either side?

if so, tighten the other side up and then the one you are having trouble with will free up

Are they hex-head bolts or socket caps? If they are hex-heads then use a good six-sided socket, not a 12-sided one. They will not slip and round off so easily.

If the bolts are like mine, you only need undo the two on the side the spindle comes out.

I think both lots of the pinch bolts need to come out before the spindle will move.

Cheers for all the help though I'll give it a whirl later and let you know how I get on.

I don't think theyre hex. It looks like whoever did it last has rounded it. Looking over the bike it looks like general TLC wasn't applied at all.
