A mars bar was a meal, you could nibble all the thick chocolate from the outside first then eat the rest.

Comedy was funny, not cutting edge.

Saturday nights had some good tv on.

You used to get half day closing on a Tursday

Car parks on a Sunday were empty.

You had to learn knowledge and not just google it.

Gravel paths were fun on a push bike.

getting lost was an adventure

You could play cars on the back window shelf while your parents drove the car.

Girls were just a pest

No one was gay, just odd

That was while we were still reeling from the Snickers Debacle of 1990, of course. Sad

WHEN I WAS
A YOUNG BOY... (continue song)

I remember being yelled at by my Mother to get off the internet because she needed to use the phone, good old dialup. Laughing!

For those who know what I'm talking about, if you nostalgia, you lose.

Playing pogs and Pokémon in the playground at school, great fun.

Loads more, so many good memories. Smile!

Also, Alpha, the local Chinese here sells deep fried Mars bars and we live in Bristol, South West England. They sell them everywhere nowadays.

Also, as far as I know, they will deep fry any chocolate bar you take in, like a Bounty/Snickers etc. Smile.

When I was young..

Mopeds had pedals

'five pounds of four star please" meant a fortnights commuting for dad in his Viva.

No-one worried if you went to play at the gravel pits or on a building site.

Computers only existed in 'Star Trek'

Shirt collars were often longer than ties.

The telly gave out more heat than the coal fire.

The kenney Everitt Radio Show made getting out of bed on a Saturday worthwhile.

Oh god, I immediately imagined dipping my dick in it for some reason.
Sweet mercy.

I thought it began in Scotland though Thinking
Either way, not for me!

When I was young we were catching pokémon not STIs

Friday nights, BBC2. Classic horror movies. Dracula, Frankenstein, Mummies. Boris Karloff, Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Vincent Price.

Most excellent.

No, that was 80's guff. The Cushing/Lee films were mostly Hammer Films though.

I think I remember watching these with my grandmother when I was younger, maybe when I was six?

Very fond memories.

No it wasn't. Hammer House of Horror was a TV series with a different story each week, a bit like Tales of the Unexpected. What Shaggy is talking about is the actual Hammer films (which are still cool).

Catweazel!!!!!! That was what I waited for on Sunday mornings, usually some old sport tripe on beforehand which I had to wait for to finish.

At least I had a one in three chance of being on the right channel, if I was wrong I had to use my 'remote little brother' to change it (usually followed by having to adjust the arial).
