All Im trying to do is change address, nothing amazing. Im even willing to stomach the ridiculous price for the admin but Ive just got off the phone and they tell me they can't insure my new address because they think it may be a caravan or a squat. Seriously, WTF?!
Guys supposedly ringing me back but he's already asked if I want to leave the bike at the old address, presumably because he's huffing and puffing and doesnt want to do the legwork.
Totally useless performance. Will have to look now as to how much its going to sting me on the cancellation just to get rid of these donuts.

I seem to remember a lot of people saying that MCE customer service got much much worse after they started sponsoring British Superbikes?
I insured my old RS50 with them I think, luckily I didn't end up having any dealings with them!
At least you know to avoid them at all costs now! ! ____________________ "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul."

Well half an hour later they phoned back. Turned out the actual underwriter, Chaucer, had initially said there was no extra premium but when the bloke went through with it the confuser changed its mind. The pikey house/squat thing was just some kind of ruse made up by the computer when it said 'no'. They had to run the entire quotation through the system and then alter it for time left. So ended up me owing them another £15.20 for the different postcode. I challenged the admin fee but he told me there was nothing he could do and that £32 of it was MCE's charge and £8.60 of it was from the FSA (allegedly), he was nice enough in the end, think he should work for a better insurance broker though (does such a beast exist?!?).
So cost me £40 for the tax and £55 for the insurance change (lovely) but now its in its new home.....

I used them because they were the cheapest quote and I got my policy started for a £37 deposit, which was handy as I only had £40 left after buying my bike ____________________ Fzr-600 1999 |
