No, because people will use it as an excuse for offensive postings.

They will claim to be trolling when they are actually being rude/a cunt.

That I can't argue with. Having said that, the nature of a meme is to spread, multiply and self-modify, so you're not going to escape them any time soon, unless you happen to find a hitherto-undiscovered first-generation Usenet group somewhere.
