Hello, I was a Motorcycle courier in london in the 80's and 90's and I have just written a kindle book about my experiences, the only problem is I do not have any photo's for the book cover, is there anyone who can help me out, something like a CX 500 or GT 550 would be great but any courier picture would be good....thanks Jerry

You're welcome to use any of these. i should have full size options of all these if needed.
I've also got a few of CX500 somewhere that i'm trying to dig out

Thanks for those, you used to keep your bike a lot cleaner than I did, if you have anymore or anyone else has any, I will put a few photo's inside the book also.
Remember those plastic Rukka / Belstaff jacket and trousers that we used to wear, a picture of a courier on a bike wearing those would be handy also....thanks again for the these ones....Jerry

Please let us know when the book's available, that's something that I'd probably have a sniff at.

Thanks for the photos, I have just put the book on amazon, maybe Shakespear does not need to be too worried but if you are interested in bikes or ever wondered what life was like for a London Motorcycle courier this should give you a few laughs.
Here is the link for the UK
PS you can read Kindle books on your computer also.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Confessions-London-Courier-ebook/dp/B007P3NR3M/ref=sr_1_2?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1332917749&sr=1-2

And here is the link for the USA

+1 Karma in anticipation of the spam ratings.

Writing style is a bit run-on, but I do that myself. Fess up, who recommended that you start with a "Big Jugs Monthly readers' tales" stylee anecdote? Wink

Thanks for all your feedback so far, well spotted with the description I typed that into the Amazon site last night after a long day, I have changed it now but it might take a few hours to show up.
Sorry about the start of the book, I did not know that Amazon were going to show so much in a preview, appologies if it looks a little saucy
I am sorry if anyone thinks I am a spammer for putting the link to the book but I only posted on here to try and find some old photo's of London couriers, and a couple of you asked for the link.
If anyone is unhappy with the link on here let me know and I will remove my post no problem.
Any way I hope you enjoy it, there just does not seem to be much out there about London Couriers, no stories or photo's and there were 10,000 of us at one stage.
If anyone does come up with any London courier photo's I would still be glad of them and could use in the description or something.
thanks...Jerry

Book is a bit optimistic I think. I'd go for leaflet. Laughing I had a medium sized dump last night (<10 minutes) and read 26% of it. It needs an editor (or just an English teacher) to run thought it and tell your where to end a sentence, but it has made me smile and I will be finishing it.

I wish I had found this thread when you first asked. It sounds like we were on the circuit about the same time ('85-'97 for me).

Fairly typical Git550: note the GSXR sticker on side panel, GSXR(?) side stand (modified), clocks held together with bungy cord and oft repaired boxes:

This thread takes me back a few years.
Whilst working for a large national courier van firm the boss used to slip me a few quid extra for digging out the Z400 and booting up to London for those who couldn't wait for overnight delivery - always legal docs/papers.
The techno revolution has all but killed off this exhilarating way of life, there was a time when you could find a bike courier firm in any city and the larger towns.
Hope you used spell check for your book
