Will update with photos when I take them Smile

Started out with something that looks like this, just far more shit.

https://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb229/mickphilcom/PICT0040.jpg

Then managed to sort out a 140 engine Twisted Evil

Basically everything is in bits right now. Engine is in a frame, thats about it. Going to get painting, to my usual standards Laughing Then I'll be assembling it and hopefully getting it back on the road with an MOT without lights Thumbs Up

Photos either tomorrow evening or Sunday evening...

No lights...No way of powering them. Suppose I could get an optimate lead and pop a battery in there to just turn on all lights with a switch...but wont pass MOT with them attached.

Might leave the front light on and just tape it up as it houses the ignition, get some serious gaffer tape going on there!

I don't have a speedo for a start ... How fast crouched down on my bike with 39 rear sprocket do you think then, I don't care much but I only state what I believe is it's true ability.

Edit 38 rear actually, changing to 39 sometime ...

Kick starts graph shows a potential real top speed of 106 !

Top speed for my old RS was an indicated 100, but it was being held back somewhere ever so slightly. So maybe a genuine 90-92 possibly.

I'd say, if this is on your Cag raptor.. top speed on a naked bike like that 85mph, I'd consider it on par with a DT125 possibly.

But the road legal one I'm doing I reckon will hit 65-70... possibly. Its only got about 16-17hp

If you use that exhaust on a 140 the exhaust valve will burn out.

My bike with rear 38 will do 95 easy, the wind drag in top gear on kick starts graph shows it dropping off at 95 plus ...

It runs spot on with a 132 main jet and str through end can bike derestricted of course, despite 6 or 7 thousand miles psi at 150.

Thumbs Up

Well...

I started with a pile of bits Laughing

https://cdn.bikechatforums.com/files/img_20120412_191422.jpg

Spent about 3 hours putting it together so I can at least move it and see what bits I need to find in my dads garage.

This is what I currently have.

https://www.bikechatforums.com/download.php?id=83515

https://cdn.bikechatforums.com/files/img_20120415_083340.jpg

It sparks also... so I might just pop the tank on quickly and hear it start before continuing.

Either way its still got a fair few hours work to make it road legal.

Need to find a bolt for the rear shock
Wire in the ignition
Fit the new rear wheel
Really grease the shit out of everything and assemble it.
Need the exhaust bent as it sticks out far too much..might take it to DEP pipes quickly and see what they can do.
Make sure I can set the carb up, apparently they are a PITA. Its also quite a tight fit and will be a complete dog to adjust Laughing

Views/ideas? Yes its in my spare bedroom Laughing

Well this project is faster than one of Jordan's relationships... It looks pretty Laughing

Problem to overcome - no space for air filter Rolling Eyes

https://cdn.bikechatforums.com/files/img_20120415_185059.jpg

But its getting there.. 2 cables, 2 levers and hopefully a new master cylinder, rear wheel, chain, footpegs and MOT Mr. Green I have everything but the MC, I may even have an old CBR one... OR can try and steal one from another bike somewhere!

Ended up spraying the backs of the clocks, fork lowers, tank, yokes, frame, swinger and mudguard..which is currently drying.

Looks alright, did like the silver/grey but its mainly to hide some shit welding marks and to be as emo as me. Wink

would the CBR MC work? I'm sure the ratio's would be well out considering the complete difference in bikes, it'd work, just how well... Rolling Eyes
