I have an engine for a SV650 2002 with 16,000 miles on it.

The problem is, it's got big end problems - or at least that's what I've been told. The engine was starved of oil due to an oil blocked filter.

There are still many useful parts on the engine, but I do not have the time or the knowledge to break it up and sell the parts individually.

If I was to put the engine up for sale, what would be a fair asking price?

£150 with potential big end damage I'd call fair. They normally go for £250-£500 odd sometimes in working condition, mileage and physical condition depending.

I'd stick it on an auction and let people pay what they think its worth. Might not go for much but then again someone might have one with piston or top end issues, so could be keen.
