I need to get from Southgate to Wembley in rush hour morning traffic.
Does anyone commute this route? How long should I expect it to take?

How confident are you at filtering?

Fun, but irksome because of the other bikes which are you main impediment - as above (while I don't know timings anyway) it's going to be based on how fast you filter regardless. The other bikes make it a bit more of a challenge as to make decent progress you'll often have to skip to another filtering-lane to bypass them.

No problem... I used to do that journey every morning (well, Palmers Green to Alperton). Either set off early (before 7:30) and it will take 20-30mins or after 8 it will take 40-1:20.

Take the turn off before the Hanger lane gyratory (the one for ACE cafe) you can then approach wembley through alperton and avoid most of the local traffic too:

<edit> and those times were in the car (before I had a bike license).

Get some serious filtering practice in, and you'll be fine.

Its alright, fairly busy, watch out for the impatient lane switchers.

The stretch from the ace cafe to hangar lane when it is standing traffic i feel is only second in danger to southall high street....

Green Street is worse. I'm sure of it.

I think that you and I are going to have to arrange a tour of all the London boroughs, for research purposes, like.

Done already, im telling you its the worst, if you make it through the main drag without at least one micra pulling out on you, the cop shop at the ealing end comes running out with a a t-shirt saying "I Survived Southall"

Heh. The best I get is a tirade in a dialect that I have no hope of understanding, from a person that's got ~17 people in their MPV, after being nearly killed by their recklessly wild manoeuvring.
Or, of course, they're just plain drunk as hell.

Still, wouldn't mind the T-shirt, though Laughing

Streatham runs it pretty close thanks to people just blindly walking into the road....
