 |
|
Just wording if any one has any tips for cleaning the inside of my helmet, after a few hot days it got quite sweaty and was wondering the best way to clean it. Some of the inside padding buttons/velcros out but i wasn't sure if i could just put it in the washing machine or hand wash
If it helps it's a Box BZ-1 Saltire helmet, I've checked the booklet that came with the helmet but only gives advice on cleaning the visor and shell
Thanks in advance |

Hi Neil, just wondering why you have not gone up in cc's since your A2. Remember you having a YBR when I joined, and must have had that ages. Now your on a CBF 125, surely your near leaving the restriction for 33bhp.
Not saying this as a dig, just generally interested in your opinion with regards to 125's. Loved my YBR, however I loved my SV way more, and now love my ZX6R way way way more.
Suppose it's just horses for courses, just curious. |
I saw with the YBR that, if looked after properly (not necessarily OCD style), 125's can achieve quite decent mileages. It was written off in a crash, sadly. I'm still with 125's as they are so cheap on petrol (check my Fuelly link in my sig). I get 120mpg on the CBF and do 300 miles a week, keeping it at mostly 8k revs, 60mph. Servicing is easy, insurance is cheap, tax is also pennies. I need the bike for my sole transport and commuting, and don't ride for the fun of it alone (but it's a big bonus as I do enjoy it a lot - getting about is so much fun). Whilst I did my test and all, it was more about honing my own skills than wanting to ride more powerful bikes. I passed in June 2008, my restriction has now been lifted for nearly 2 years.
Neither me nor my wife have a car license, and doing lessons, tests and then buying a car and affording the stupidly high insurance is way out of our financial reach. Neither of us really want one that much either (apart from the occasional fleeting thought of 'it would be nice if...' which doesn't last long).
So, yeah, economy and lack of desire are my reasons really. ____________________ CBT February 2008 | A2 June 2008 | Yamaha YBR125 (written off) | Honda CBF125 (current) |
