Hello all. My bikes electrics packed in 30 miles from home last week, exactly one week after it's second service. It's a 7 month old Aprilia RS125, and before anyone says anything, it has never given one bit of trouble and has been very reliable.lol. Anyway. After leaving it back to the shop where i bought it, Race Base in Belfast (owned by Jeremy McWilliams) i was told that the regulater had packed in. I'm told this is the bike version of a cars alternater. I found this quite strange since the bike is only 7 months old and i bought it new. When i bought the bike i got a SpyBall alarm fitted to try to prevent our light fingered friends from borrowing it. The guys in the shop reckon that the alarm might of had something to do with the regulater blowing since it's wired into it. Does that sound right or possible to anyone? Spyball is the alarm recommended by the shop and it's pretty much the only one they will fit. Has anyone got a Spyball fitted and have you had any trouble with it? I'm only asking because my bike is sorted now with a new regulater. But i don't want to be stranded somewhere in another 7 months if the alarm is messing up the regulater. Cheers.
