Well having ridden ER5s and I think the ER6s are a lot better than er5, in other words you should notice a nice step up in power and handling.
Just have to watch out for rust.. ACF50 should be your new friend.
Here's my reviews written here previously quite a few years ago now:

I've been reading this thread and noticed something that, as a newbie, don't understand. What is the issue with unfaired bikes on Motorways?
Cheers in advance. |

80mph on my old CBR I can rest my elbow on top of the tank and cheerfully plough on for 100 miles, bored but otherwise comfortable.
80mph on a Bandit my mate followed me that same 100 miles, getting battered by the elements, having his neck muscles tested, and was fairly bloody knackered by the time we arrived.
Lots of people will shout MAN UP at you if you suggest a fairing is a good idea, but in the real world, on long distance stuff, it is a good idea.
Also, you'll never get quite as drenched on a faired bike as you will on a naked, when that unexpected shower comes down. |

This. I did 15 miles or so on Jacqueline's XJ6N at the weekend, some of which was at motorway speeds. The difference between that and my half-faired FZ1 was surprising. |

Brilliant Bikes, had mine for a year now. Like said fairly useless above a ton but thats not too necessary on UK roads will still get to an indicated 130 fairly easily. Check welds on frame for cracking and check to see if its had a recall.
Stock it is very viby at around 3.8-4.2k, i solved this by crashing into a wall then replacing the front end with a zx6r front end, massivly improved the bike and didnt cost much (crashing into a wall first is optional)
Overall a good looking, capable, fun and comfortable bike, if you can get a good deal snap it up. ____________________ Current Bikes:Honda 929RR Fireblade, Honda CD200 Benly (Project), Stomp Z2 140
