I'm currently on a 96 CBR600f3 and am seriously looking to up it to a 900rr blade from a similar year.
Wondering the differences between stuff like GSXRs and ninjas etc as ive only ever ridden hondas.. pros and cons fors and against from any experience would be good... or just your fave bike past or present.. but nothing under 400cc ! Wink

you will never get a simple answer to this, it is completely up to personal preference(s).

you are much better trying a few out and choosing the one YOU like most.

Depends what you are looking for.

IMO, the best all round sports bikes, were, and still are, the CBR600F series. Fantastic bikes IMO! But they are what they are. They arent die-hard sports bikes, nor are they tourers.

If you want something quick and nimble, I'd probably go with one of the newer GSXRs or blades.

I've never liked Kawasaki.

The best sports bike is the Ducati 1199. The purpose of a sports bike is lap time, and the 1199 will get the best lap times as it's closest to a racing bike. It's also totally uncomfortable, expensive as hell and probably has a huge waiting list.

I've ridden a few of them, nothing has come close to the GSXR1000 K6 in terms of speed and handling. In terms of comfort and sound, Triumph Daytona 600 and for me right now, the GSXR750Y.

Its all biased as its what I have ridden, a ZX10R could be fantastic and trump the lot but I've not ridden one yet. Just have a sit and test ride a few Thumbs Up

you should probably just save yourself a load of hassle by buying a GSXR 750, preferebly of the K4 or K5 variety. Smile

Buy a 900 RR-W.

You will never, EVER, be disappoint.

(apart from trying to get a tyre if it hasn't had the front wheel changed for a 17")

Have to second the RR-W, RR-X Fireblade. An extremely reliable, comfortble, V fast, truly simple, easily maintained, loads of spares and knowlege, cheap(ish), a true classic that is still good on real world roads.

Not quite true - Bridgestones new S20 comes in 16" size specifically for the couple of bikes that use them (I just got back from the launch a couple of weeks ago)

For me, my fave Sports Bike is my current one - a 2005 ZX10R Smile It is an animal.

I'm a FZR kiddie. Very neutral handling, the 600 has more than enough power for the road. Yes I have owned the 1000 also.

Really enjoy mine. Easy to work on too.
