What do you wear under your leathers on hot summer days? I've been considering some kind of wicking base layer to take the sweat away from the body. Do they actually make any noticeable difference in the heat? Any recommendations?

Also I'm buying an RST Slice leather jacket for the summer to replace my RST Razor textile jacket. I'm going to try a few on and choose the one that's the tightest/best fit. However I've heard that wearing too many layers undearneath tight leathers can stretch them out so after a while they will be a little loose. Is it true or are people just being over cautious?

Thumbs Up

Under Armor:
Heat gear for hot weather
Cold gear for cooler times

The UA also comes in long & short versions of tops & pants
I find it useful as I can use the UA on non riding days for the Gym etc

I also have buffalo wind filter gear but I occasionally find that too bulky. but the UA is close fitting and ideal for wearing under leathers. Certain versions of UA also have vented panels

proskins base layer, keeps you hot in winter cool in summer and makes putting on leathers a piece of piss.

Usually, some form of base layer and which one depends on what I am doing.

Tottering about, stopping for lunch/relax etc = EDZ 1 or 2 piece or Spada Performance Layer 2 piece, if I am just out for a razz, not planning to stop off anywhere or out on track I wear my skins A400 set (or the thermal version in winter.

Most important for me is the legs, pulling leathers off sticky legs on a hot day or a hard ride is a bitch, base layer helps it slide right off.

On a related note, when I do wear my skins set I do notice I can go a bit longer without tiring too, the plus side to the outrageous cost.

And leaving socks on too, getting leathers stuck on sweaty feet is a bitch.

I usually ride in BUFF or Astars socks for the same reason, they do a similar job to the base layer.
