Yes I've been on the sauce tonight.... I've just mooched around in the cupboards and I can't really find any munchies....

I'm sure there are professionals in this kind of thing out there... what kind of munchies should I be buying?... at this moment I have half a cupboard of biscuits, but nothing on the savory menu.

I'm not a big crisps fan, but have been known to eat a packet every now and then. I get the feeling that I need to do a shop soon as I have a couple of tomatos, milk, some peppers and some tomato puree, 2 bottles of wine and half a box of lager in the fridge.

This really depends on what you like snacking on. Personally i can’t eat microwave burgers and stuff so the quick stuff like that is out.
Pitta bread is great toasted on about level 5 and dipped in an hummus or taramasulata. Anything with garlic in is going to be good as saving your poisoned body.
I’d stock up on some Biltong as it’s good tasting and a decent food to have during or after booze.
If you can eat sea food type things like tuna after booze you could try the ‘light lunch’ tins they do but they’re are the kind of foods that get old quickly.

A special drunked recipe of mine...

Cook Ravioli
Toast bread
Chuck ravioli in a bowl
Worcestershire sauce
Cut toast into squares, throw them on top.
Cheese if you’re a piggy

I try not to cook if I'm drinking... well much anyway... I did make hot beans on toast once... normal tin of beans, shit loads of curry powder, tobasco, chilli powder etc. I had to force myself to eat them, they definitely had a bit of sting to them.... then the next day every time I even farted I was beating the flames out on my nuts.

It's a bit rubbish living where I do because the last place I lived there were shit loads of kebab shops and stuff local.

Cured pork in any form is always good. Half a chorizo or a mattisons smoked sausage.

Or a not foodle.

Fixed that for you.

Chorizo, Pepperoni, Salami, Biltong, Beef Jerky etc... are cracking drinking snacks.

Other than that I like to go for salty or garlicy stuff things like olives, pickled garlic, sun dried tomatoes, anchovies etc...

Dry cereals for me. Mini shreddies are the current favourite. For added flavour I have a bit of hot pepper or worcester sauce on the side. If your feeling adventurous get a few bags of flavoured microwave rice and stick tuna or sardines in it with some onion and peppers when cooked.

As much as I hate to admit it... I never thought I'd see the day... but I'm not really into chocolate and sweets any more Sad

Sorry Alpha-9, but that looks a bit like student munchies to me... I'm looking for man munchies... like broken glass, nails and rust to name but a few.

I have been known to eat nuggat pillows from the box, but never when drinking.

Some great ideas there though... I'm sure a few of the items mentioned will be on my shopping list... come to think of it... that will be my shopping list...

Tuna not munchies... ye gads what is the world coming to... I love having the odd can of tuna drunk or sober... some people are just fucked in the head... tuna not munchies... Rolling Eyes

Plain Ritz crackers and a nice flavorsome cheddar....

I reckon I can do a whole box of the crackers on a good night..

Crush some cheese puffs or frazzles (or both) into a dust and sprinkle or stir into anything.
