Beating up a small child

Since i've been away this week, it has become apparent that my nephew (20month old) has been stealing from me. Namely my bed.

Now to stop future occurance's what would be the best way to make sure that he doesn't do it again?

Need to make sure it isn't that visible, so his dad (Crazymotorbiker/ Shaun R) doesn't find out.

He is round on Sunday for dinner so i'll get him then.

Any help much appreciated.
