Sup.

Went to the dentist a month ago, everything fine as usual and my new dentist is not actually a condescending do gooder like every dentist I've ever had.

My teeth were quite stained due to my high tea and coffee consumption. This isn't bad but it did make me think about the sugar I consume, I probably have a coffee a day and two cups of tea which isn't a lot, but I used to have a sugar in both.

I managed to wean myself off sugar in tea quite easily, but have only just managed to stop putting it in my coffee. Now I don't miss it. I have to have both with milk though!!!

I have a mate who puts 3 sugars in his tea, mentalist!!!

How do you take yours?

Tea, splash of milk, no sugar. Coffee tastes absolutely foul.

Coffee black, no sugar.
Tea with milk, 1 sugar.

Is this a research thread?

Started on tea again to lesson coffee intake, Yorkshire hard version.

I ,ll have sugar away from home but sweetners otherwise. Been on skimmed milk for years.

Instant kendo smooth and militan o for ease and cost.

Ground Ethiopian or cart noir etc.

I drink about 10 litres a day of fluid.

No sugar in either.

I used to have 2 sugars in both, but gradually as I've improved the quality of the stuff I'm drinking, it's become more about the flavours of the drink rather than trying to mask them with sugar. Nowadays my goto cuppa is either yorkshire tea (hardwater blend) if I'm only making a single cup, or if more than one person is having one I'll brew up some loose leaves in the pot (currently have Irish breakfast for the morning brew and "Norfolk Blend" as the everyday cuppa. Both from a little independent tea merchants in norwich).

As for coffee, I swap and change what grounds I use more often than I change my underwear. I never drink instant through, unless I have no choice (i.e at someone else's house), in which case, it's the only time I'll have sugar (to mask the taste).

I do have a splash of milk in both mind.

Used to be..
Coffee, strong, white with some sugar pured in (roughly 2 teaspoons worth)

Nowadays...

Black Decaf Coffee (except the first of the day, that's proper coffee) with 2 sweeteners.

Had to switch to mostly decaf as I drink a lot of coffee during 12hr shifts and the caffiene started to affect me quite badly. Switched from milk and sugar as part of my weight loss program, and now I prefer it that way.

Poseidon I think you are right, I have started drinking loose tea in bags which cost a fortune but the aroma is amazing that sugar really spoils it. I have a coffee machine so you can't beat an Americano with hot milk, but I haven't tried instant without sugar yet, so maybe that'll be a harder bean to crack. Pun intended.

BTW sweeteners are a big NO NO for me, I'd rather have sugar, just google aspartame for details, vile stuff. It's why I'd always drink a full sugar coke over diet, despite risk to teeth and waistline.

Yeah I can't take Aspartame either, I'm aspartame intolerant, I get all the nasty effects Sad There's only a few brands of sweeteners I can use..
It's also annoying that here is a lack of consitency too, for example, Sweetex tablets..no Aspartame, Sweetex powder? Aspartame. Grr. The only non tablet sweetener I know for sure that has no Aspartame is Splenda, and that's the most expensive...I just use the sweetener tablets instead.

Years of site visits means I pretty much take tea/coffee however it's presented, black/white, with/without sugar, I'll drink it. Caffeine has little effect on me, but I have tried a number of decaffs; some are passable, others are shite.

My breakfast coffee is usually white, one sugar. The coffee I drink during the day is black, no sugar. When I've got a cold I like tea, strong, white, 2 sugars.

Tea, never drink the stuff, makes me feel ill. Sick

Coffee, depends on what it is.
A good coffee then just black.
A reasonably good coffee, black with sugar.
Instant or crap ground coffee then milk and sugar.

As far as staining goes have you not noticed how tea stains your cups whereas coffee doesn't, should imagine it's the same with your teeth.

Tea; White,semi-skimmed milk, No sugar. Used to have two heaped spoons.

Coffee-White,semi-skimmed, two level spoon sugar. I do have a friend who drinks coffee with two spoon full of coffee half a cup of milk and 5 sugars.... seems pointless

I have less sugar in depending on what coffee i'm drinking, If I go to a coffee shop I have one sachet of sugar

Some sugar... Depends what mood I'm in, Usually 2!

Although Caffeine doesn't seem to affect me Rolling Eyes ... At least not that I am aware of Embarassed

2 teaspoons of coffee and 2 sugars and just a splash of milk. But it has to be a good strong coffee.

Depends if there is any sugar or milk available.

If I have everything at my disposal, coffee with a little bit of milk and 1 sugar.
