doe's anybody know what is involved in de-restricting bikes. I know of the cones in the exhausts but whats is there apart from that?

what bike you got , or if its a ped what ped you got?

normally the carb needs to be up-jetted, and the spacer/washer taken out in the gears if its a moped , if its a bike i have no idea,

also if its a moped a Race exhaust or any aftermarket exhaust will make a big difference , 5 /15 mph difference

its a aprilia mx 50 supermoto ive got at the moment but ive just ordered the mx 125

There is a massive cone in the exhaust on the aprilia mx50. Removing that and fitting a 1 tooth larger front sprocket will give you a top speed of about 55-60mph.

Hi

You will also need to up the jetting slightly. From a 63 to a 68 main jet from memory.

For the MX125 it will probably be the same as the RS125. Basically buy and fit the power valve kit (to replace a blanking piece). The exhaust is probably also fairly horrible as well (the latest RS125 exhausts are awful, think they have a cat stuck in them).
