I've just posted this in the south east section, but I'd rather try to get as much as I can to come, not just the south east lot Laughing

Hey guys,
I've been a part of running this show for like, nearly a decade now, and now i'm all growed up I can actually play a part in promoting it XD.

I'll give you the low down.

Takes place on the 6th to the 8th of July

All the money raised goes to the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance, and a little to MAG UK. I think 2/3 or 3/4 go to the air ambulance.

I'm part of Wycombe M.A.G, and every year we run our annual rally, Chinnor Bike Dayz. I think this year's the 16th one.

Its a weekend event, friday to sunday, located in Chinnor, those of you who don't know where it is, i'll add the link to the info & directions in a mo, but its about 15 miles from High Wycombe.
The event is primarily a family thing, Live music, booze, camping, stalls, the typical rally stuff, except its more refined for the families, not like the bulldog bash and the more hardcore biker stuff, that's not really Chinnors' primary focus.
The Music kicks off on the friday night, and there's the ride out at 11am on Saturday morning.
The ride is marshalled, by us, and goes first from the field to Thame services, the 'ride out', then, this is generally where everyone meets, the ride generally doubles in size at Thame.
Then there's the 'ride in' marshalled by us again, and everyone rides a set route back to the field.
Then there's the show. All bikes park up in the centre of the field and a competition takes place, this includes awards for
-Best in show
-Best classic
-Best streetfighter
-Best custom
-Best small bike
-Best modern
-Best Rat bike
-Best trike
there's probably a couple more but I can't remember the lot off the top of my head
Afternoon's all music, silly games, couple of shows, and some more music, alcohol and chilling out
There's also generally stalls there, usually clothing, surplus sometimes, some helmets, tattoo stands, the specifics I can't give 'cause I don't know this years line up, but i'm sure im not far off.

Last year was £10 for the weekend, I think it was a £5er for the saturday, and under 16's free, but again, I can update when I know.

Would anyone be interested in this? If you would it'd be great, always good to give the air ambulance as much as we can, and to make the event that bit bigger

here's the link to the location guys, google maps'll help if its too zoomed in

6th link down on the left

I'm not far away myself and wouldn't mind going down, but the fact I'm still on my 125 with L plates (test soon) and I can't ride my beloved BMW yet (it just sits there taunting me) makes me pretty reluctant to be honest!

I'm riding up from Christchuch in Dorset on a 125, hoping it doesn't rain Razz

Oh it's not the distance, I've just got back from a 120 mile round trip to london this evening, and I've done a few 200 mile days to wales etc on it no problems, it's just turning up on my own, on a L plated 125, I'm not sure about that!

no-one worry about L plates, the weekend is open to anybody, and on the ride there are no motorways, check the website for the places, its just through towns like princes risborough and that area, so don't worry.
The show also has a prize for best small bike, which is 125 or smaller Wink so get cleaning Razz.

There's also a raffle, where 1st prize wins a 125 and a CBT to get them on the road, not bad eh?!
2nd place is normally like a flying experience with BA on some little single engine prop aircraft.

Just thought I'd quickly bump this, today is the last day you can buy tickets online, I seem to understand this is the preffered way, but there are going to be some tickets availabe at the gate!

Also have since changed jobs so have the weekend off Razz

And my mate has since binned his bike (and knee) So could be a loner!

Thumbs Up

May have spent 2 hours cleaning and polishing my bike.. Laughing

Hope it's sunny...

It's looking like a 100mile (ish) ride in the rain for me! lol
Hopefully the field won't be too soggy, might make putting the tent up fun. I could actually fit my bike inside the tent too, as it's huge (the mrs bringing tent in the car heh)
