Got back from Wiltshire on Monday night Ride from hell) and the last couple of miles my bike seemed a bit sluggish. Been so busy this week that I haven't had a chance to get back on or see what the problem was.

I just started the bike with the choke on full it was still not sounding right, smoke started to appear so I turned it off and had a look at the pipes and there appears to have been a leak of some kind and the heat from the pipes is whats causing it to smoke - not good.

It could possibly be the oil filter is fooked, it's not in the best condition (only 6 months old though). I have a new one that arrived in the post today so I could try an oil change and see what happens with a new filter. and a clean up.

Failing that does anyone know of a bike mechanic in Medway/Maidstone that will also pick the bike up and drop off who are reasonably priced?

Paddy has said he will do my exhaust change and other bits which is great but due to my work commitments I'm thinking I need it done asap. Any help would be great.

Roughly what can I expect to pay for a straight swap exhaust, chain and sprocket replacement and clutch cable replacement with the parts supplied by myself.

If you can get a garage to check the current issue, I'll happily save you the labour by doing the above.

Barneys Bikes on Luton Road, Chatham.
Had most of my scoot's and smaller bike repairs done there before I got into the trade myself.
My Dad also used to have his CBR6 and Busa serviced there. Pricing is very fair, and he stocks almost everything! Laughing

Not sure he can collect the bike though.
Why can you not ride it there?

Never had any problems from here. He always seems packed out with bikes.

LoL, why do you say that?
Chris and Graham (two guys who work there) have never caused me any issues what so ever.
Granted, Chris can be a bit abrupt, but he's alright.
Graham is sound, if he can help, he will. Thumbs Up
