Hello all

2008 TMEC Enduro bike - I'm struggling to find replacement rear brake pads.
Can anyone suggest an alternative pad ?

Thanks

the ones off my TDM look similar, maybe you could cut it down if you get stuck.

These look similar....

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CCM-FRONT-BRAKE-PADS-CR-40-S-CAFE-RACER-07-08-/250904531246?_trksid=p3284.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D21%26pmod%3D160780840189%26ps%3D54

Perhaps contact the seller and request the dimensions? They are for a CCM and I think they make the TMEC bikes? I could be wrong though!

Fair enough if you are trimming the metal backing but be careful if you are cutting down the friction material - there's a fair chance they contain asbestos so don't go blowing the dust everywhere.

Check your measurements - mainly the height of the pad - I bet it's 51/52 not 42mm !? I've put your pic to scale and if I'm right, then your pads are easily available from many vendors. Like the ebay link i've already posted - but this link shows the dimmensions.

https://www.apico.co.uk/brakes-1/brake-pads/brake-pads-tm/brake-pads-sintered-13835.html

Hope that helps.

Yep, you were spot on, 51mm x 70mm will be fine.

Do you happen to know the type so I can see if they are available on ebay ?

The eBay link I have posted are the correct ones, but the model of bike is the CCM CR40 and it is the FRONT Pads that you need for that model of bike.

Wemoto sell them too :

https://www.wemoto.com/bikes/CCM/CR_40_S_Cafe_Racer/07-08/picture/Pads_Front_EBC_Standard_GG_Type/

But browse ebay - there are some cheaper ones there too!! :

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/front-Brake-pads-CCM-CR-40-S-Cafe-Racer-07-08-/220934812260?_trksid=p3284.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D21%26pmod%3D160780840189%26ps%3D54

Unsure of how great the quality of the very cheapo ones are though!

All the best.

Hi

Had a google for piccies of the. Surprisingly it appears to have a twin pot sliding caliper for the front and a 4 pot caliper on the back.

The caliper looks a bit like a copy of an older 4 pot caliper. Possible ZZR600 or maybe the early Brembo (Ducati 907 IE, etc) or Grimeca (Aprilia AF1 / RS125) 4 pots

All the best

Keith
