Been looking into them as I do tend to end up in the middle of nowhere, got breakdown cover but if spending £20 can save me waiting 1 hour+ seems worth it to me Thumbs Up

Anyone got experience with them? I was looking into the ones with the "keys" that you pretty much screw into the hole, then break the tab off, sorted. There's alsorts of other ones though, ones with string, ones with rubber mushroom type things etc. Thinking Any recommendations?

(I have searched for this but nice to have more up to date info)

The ones with rubber mushrooms work for me (I also tend to use the slime stuff that you put in before you get a hole). However, the little CO2 canisters are useless (and the fill adaptor with no valve so what you put in comes straight back out anyway Sad ) so I'd also carry a small bike pump... tho it does take a lot of pumping for a motorbike tyre!

Dunno about the tyre weld stuff, probably leaves a right mess in the tyre as well Idea

They make it look so easy in the video demonstrations, the ones with the plastic key things seem the best to me, although they're more expensive Thinking

Tyre weld is the biggest piece of trash available on the market I know its a temp repair but my idea of a temp repair is you get you home so you dont get mugged by the closest bike garage or have to wait the 3 hours for the AA to arrive, not just 300-400 yrds Rolling Eyes

I've been plugging tyres from the outside at the side of the roadside for years now, my kit is so old I dont even remember the name of it, it consists of the usual two tools one to make an even hole and the other to insert the plugs, I done away with the compressed air canisters and bought a mini compressor (much better) and buy tubes of Vulcanizing rubber solution of flea bay along with the strips of sticky rubber.

I've managed to roadside plug every make of tyre at the road EXCEPT AVONS!! Crying or Very sad They tear!
