Having a few issues with the electrics on my CG125, its a BR-J model.

My dad and I stripped and refurbed the fork seals over the weekend and when we re-assembled some of the connections in the headlight cowl came undone, the whole lot was taken apart, traced, labelled and put back together but now the indicators are playing up.

In neutral if one side is indicating the opposite side also flashes but much dimmer and the brake light also flashes. However the main issue is when operating the brake with the indicators going turns all the indicator lights on without flashing.

Clearly there is a short somewhere but chasing it down is proving difficult.

Any ideas of where is best to check?

TIA

Check all connections around the part of the loom you interfered with.

Do they all work but at different speeds?

This sounds like a typical earth problem. The return feed on bikes is via the frame back to the battery. On a Honda the earth wire is green.

Checked the connections, all seemed ok.

Decided to isolate the rear electrics and disconnected the earth leads to the back and re-wired them to a new earth on the frame.

All works as it should now.
