Nope.

Look on your theory certificate, it says it's for the motorcycle category.

You need to do a seperate theory test for the car.

it's a separate theory test for the car.
i recently passed my bike test, i've held a full car licence for over 15 years but had to sit a theory test for the bike.

Not really, as some of the questions are car specific and some are bike specific.

Ballix, I thought I heard that you could use your theory certificate for a car and bike inside two years. Sad

That would be too easy, this way the powers that be get to charge you twice for a test that could easily be adapted to suit both car and motorcycle. If they are that different why don't they make a single test for a car driver (as there are probably more of them), and motorcyclists do that and pay say a fiver for a bolt on bike section ?

cough cough - more money for the DVLA in order to devise even harder tests for us. I wish my parents had understood the meaning "I WANT TO BE ON A BIKE RATHER THAN A CAR!", then maybe my theory test which i took in August would be the bike - and i would have had my A2 license by now and be riding an SV!

some are bike specific??

I may be wrong but i have never seen a bike with hazard warning lights as standard, however it is in the theory test.....hmm

I think its just the DVLA conning people out of yet more money

I've got hazard lights on my fazer - tbh the bike specific questions are almost all totally common sense anyway, and thus superfluous.

i stand corrected.

However i think the questions could easily be adapted for a single test, as mister james said, most of them are common sense
