Whatever you do, heed this advice - GET AN ELECTRIC START.
You will get annoyed, you will be fed up, you will hurt and it will be frustrating when you fall and the bike stops having to rely on a kickstart only bike ____________________ Theory test - 19/8/09, CBT - 11/10/09, MOD 1 - 16/8/10, MOD 2 - 27/10/10

I googled the R30 and came up with this
https://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/bikereviews/searchresults/Bike-Reviews/CCM/CCM-R30-2001-current/
A friends son has the Suzuki engined version and found it underpowered so had it bored out to 715cc and a better cam installed to make it more 'fun'.
Another friend had a CCM 644 enduro version and found it heavy and tiring on a long rideout. As for when it got stuck in deep mud when greenlaning up in mid-Wales,Will looked quite enviously at our bikes wishing that he had bought himself something a bit more agile. He now rides a KTM 450 like my one. ____________________ Just talk bikes. What else is there?

It's going to be used mainly on road so the off road thing is going to be once in a blue moon, plus I don't think there are massive green lanes around Cambridge I might be completely wrong though!
The lack of power sounds pretty disappointing though. And fancy a 4t right now, always wanted a larger 2 stroke but fancy a nice thumpy single right now ____________________ Bikes Past: Yamaha Aerox (sold) Yamaha R125 (written off)

Came directly off a drz onto an r30, then from an r30 onto a te610.
Would rank it te610, drz, r30. Seemed rather underpowered, handled nice, had really low pegs which was a bit strange. Will fit in a berlingo van if you let down the tyres. ____________________ Previous: GSF600, FZR600 x2, ZXR750, XT600 Tenere, CB125, CZ125, ETZ 250, ER5, CCM R30, DRZ400, RF600x4, RF900x2, GS500, VTR1000F, 640 SMC, CB250 NIGHTHAWK, GT550x3, GPX750 TE610, CB500, X11x2, SV650, ZING 125, TL1000R,CB250 Superdream, CBR1100XX |
