You can request proof of your NCD from Aviva. However, if you try and amend either of your policies, then even if they accept car NCD (most don't) you'll get slammed with admin fees
Aside, how on earth did you manage to pay £1k insurance on a GS500? The bike isn't likely to be worth that much, and my GPZ500 was a no-cost switch from a 125. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Erm...
I'd definitely recheck. They cancelled my bike insurance because I didnt declare 1 car accident... As far as they care, a claim is a claim. |
I did!
Were you through a broker? This may change things, as I am direct with them.
Their online FAQ (now gone as they no longer quote for bike policies online) clearly stated that I didn't need to declare car accidents, so when I did the actual quote I called them, knowing that all calls are recorded, explained to the agent that I had car accidents but had been told I didn't need to declare them, he agreed with me, we proceeded with the quote and I paid for the year there and then.
If there is later a dispute I will have then pull the call recording
Once I find the cheapest provider I always do my actual quotes and purchases over the phone, as if you do it online and there is an error they blame it on you, if you do it over the phone it is recorded and you can blame them!!
Different providers view the whole bike/car thing differently. Aviva don't ask for car accidents on bike policies direct with them, or let you transfer car NCD, but Direct Line for example let you use bike NCD on a car. |
