Not sure if this has been asked before, but something in another thread got me thinking. I've read other threads asking how much people's bikes have done, but how many miles have you done throughout your biking career?

It's an interesting thing to ponder, because many of you sunday riders won't rack up anywhere near as much as commuters, let alone the Marmalade's among us!

Pesonally, between three bikes, probably around 6-8,000 miles, i think. Which for riding around a year must be fairly average?

I'd estimate around the 50,000 mark since November 2006.

Edit: Which is an average of 25 miles a day, every day. Not to shabby.

Probably less than 10,000 in the last 3 and a bit years. Never commute on 2-wheels anymore, and even if I did work is only 2 miles away. I'd rather walk then leave my bike outside all day. Probably do about 2 - 2.5K miles a year, just on ride outs. Bit of a part timer really Sad

Approximately 492,000 miles. I make that nearly 70 grands worth of petrol at today's prices. Anyone know the cost for a litre of 4 star 30 years ago so I can compare?

pushing 3,000 since 14th October 2011.

Going up rapidly now since the really cold weather's gone. Do roughly 150 miles a week commute plus any weekend/evening riding.

Probably around 5000 miles on the NC30 in 1 year, and have racked up about 400 miles on the GSXR so far in a few months.

Got to be well over the million miles mark. since I've been riding for 24years (not continuously, i do sleep.)

In the last 5 years i've put an average of 60,000 miles a year on bikes and judging by this year so far i'll be looking at around 80,000

Prior to that I didn't make much of a note how many miles per gallon and miles per tyres etc as it didn't matter so much so god know how many miles i was doing.

What's that, about 11p a litre?

I can remember when filling up a bike or car was something you just did and thought no more about. Nowadays I dread every car fill up. Filling up the bike isn't so bad as it's a smaller tank, but even that is getting near to stupid now.

When using the pay at pumps I avoid even looking at the end cost, just get my card and get outta there.
