Best say hello as I'll be lurking about a little bit. Finally decided to get myself onto a bike after playing with cars.
Plan was for the DA course but after doing the CBT and struggling with some of the low speed stuff I have taken the plunge and got myself a little 125 (varadero as I'm tall) for practice. Got a fair proportion of safety kit with the sale so I only had to hunt for a lid and L plates.

Hoping not to be stuck on this for too long and looking forward to improving my skills Smile

Fingers crossed for the bigger stuff in the near future Smile

Great choice of first bike imo, as far as 125's go, they're one of the best, with the only real drawback being the price.

Had mine up to indicated 80 (probably more like a true 70) when I had it, and took it on a few longer (150miles or so) runs, which it stood up to just fine.

Thoroughly enjoying my fazer now, but also missing the Varadero Razz if I could've afforded to keep both I probably would have.

Cheers for the replies! Purchased a nice lid so I no longer need to pinch my brothers, got some tax (£16!!!! Little cheaper then the Subaru!! and £12 to fill the tank!!) and managed to take it out this evening. Enjoyed the ride although a little chilly and while not being too quick is perfect for my skill level.

Must say though on my first attempted U turn I nearly dropped it Embarassed

Have a little patience, the right bike will come along. Do you have a particular bike that you are looking for?

CBR600f, either last of the steel framed or the earlier sport in non garish shellsuit colours.

Curve ball from a friend, VFR800, still looking into.

Possibly a thundercat and after that fazer, hornet or whatever else fits Smile

You may have mis-understood the concept of "Paying for it in instalments". Wink

Subframe is... well, it's there, at least.
