I spent the whole of this morning getting quoted ridiculous prices to fit a tyre to a wheel, eventually I found somewhere that would do it for a tenner if the wheel was loose, however I had a complete brain fart and forgot that the centre stand raises the back wheel not the front so I did this:

https://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee81/paddy2007dug/P190412_1219.jpg
Which at the time I didn't worry too much about. Only now the bike place has said it will take a few hours to get the tyre done and it's looking pretty windy and stormy outside. Suddenly my wobbly bodge job doesn't seem like such a fantastic idea! I should point out that no weight goes through the plant pot, it is all balanced on the bricks.
Do I get stupid points? ____________________ I am a bellend, I am a man of constant sorrow, I am a gummy bear, I am a rock. |

Could have also strapped some large blocks of something onthe seat (and make it secure), aswel as strapping the rear hand hold to some sort of ground anchor. ____________________ CBT: 12/06/10, Theory: 22/09/10, Module 1: 09/11/10, Module 2: 19/01/11

Bricks and slabs under the headers would have been better.
I like your gypo style though. ____________________ NSR125RR - ZXR750H1 - ZX9R E1 - GSF600S - GSF600SK3 - VFR400-NC30 - SV1000N - ST1100-R - CBR900RR-R - GSF1200SK5 - GSF600SK1 - VFR1200FA - GSXR1000K2 - ZZR1400 D8F

A heavy barbell through the rear wheel has also been known to work .
For the exact reason of garages being incompetent thieving pikey ball bags I have just ordered some gear so I can change my own tyres.
There is a good chance of epic fail but it's still better than letting garages fuck it up AND ask for money.

Those bricks are so gonna fall over.
I did the same thing taking my front wheel off after the crash, then the bike fell on it's side when I turned my back and now i've got to buy a new tank too. Fantastic.
And my bricks were stacked horizontally 2x2 rather than precariously balanced like those ____________________ Fzr-600 1999 |

I often find something heavy to place on the floor behind the bike and strap the bike to it lifting the front ____________________ Nobby the Bastard: How yo tell the difference between the actual japanese and her just screaming because she's had live fish stuck up her arse? I keep nicking re-purposing the empty plastic milk crates from work. At first it was to prop up bikes, then it was to sit on while propping up bikes... now it's just an addiction. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

If it's going to be windy, wind shield?
https://www.shadeusa.com/WINDShield_1.jpg
Could make-shift something up to do the job, but that should keep most the wind away from knocking the things over, right? ____________________ 2004 R1 & 2018 XSR900 |

Call it something like "Urban Frustration" and sell it to The Tate, they'll usually pay zillions for anything involving piles of old bricks. ____________________ They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa, hey-hey,
