Just gauging a bit of interest here. Pictures were taken this morning, and I haven't had the chance to clean it from yesterday.

I'm going to be moving to Australia hopefully in the next few months (october sort of time), so will obviously need to be selling up to go out there.

First up is my CRF250. Runs, rides and works perfectly. It's in good, USED condition, so scratches all around from enduros, motocross and the like. One of the radiators is bent, but nothing leaks.

Tax until the end of september, not sure about the MOT.

Aluminium pro full exhaust system

RFX hot start lever (never needed)

Hydraulic clutch conversion, and is the lightest clutch i've ever felt, with KTM magura master cylinder.

Zeta front brake lever.

Steel inlet valves.

RG3 rear shock as well as the original (nothing wrong with it) as a spare.

Recent o-ring chain and supersprox stealth rear sprocket

Aluminium bash plate

UFO brush guards.

Trailtech sidestand.

Renthal top yoke + fat bars

RFX fork bleeders

motoXXXracing seat cover (best I've ever used)

Oil and filter changed regularly (around every 500 miles or so)

Valve clearances just done.

I'll be looking to sell it in late september, early october, and will take no less than £2000 for it.

If you want it, I'll give it an oil and filter change when you get here for 2 reasons. 1: so you can see the oil that comes out, and 2: so you know it's been done. If you want, I can also take the cam cover off so you can check the clearances.

New front tyre, oil and filter change, and front wheel bearings done today.

May as well make this a maintenance diary for prospective buyers seeing as it's a sale that'll take place in a few months.

FairPlay if some numpty pays 2k or more for that heap.

My KTM has only got 25 hrs on it, 09 model only worth probably 3k.

Sold My yz125 06 with 54 hrs for £1300, that'd mince that CRF.

I sell my bikes for what they're worth, fags who pay over the odds are just that.

2 strokes are a lot cheaper than 4 strokes, and yamahas are cheap at the best of times Wink Just basing my price on what others are going for, and mine would be considered a better deal than those considering the extras it has.

How can you compare an 09 for 3k to an 04 for 2k? Feel free to link me to other cheaper, better road legal CRF 250s and I'll adjust my price accordingly.

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay. I've been looking at a lot of off road bikes over the last few weeks on ebay, gumtree, biketrader, various forums etc and I'd say Matt's bike is priced about right. I've seen worse examples advertised for more that seem to be selling and at least Matt isn't trying to hide anything.

I don't understand this slating something you think is overpriced thing. If you don't want it then don't buy it, move on and buy whatever you think is at a good price.

Day time MOT and your all good.... However in fairness:

(and it looks fairy "used")

There are a re few 05's on ebay for around 2300-2500. So I'd say the value is fairly accurate..

But with a picture of you wheelie'ing a motorbike as an avatar... I'd be questioning how well you've looked after the bike. Very Happy

Laughing I'd rather wheelie a bike like I do and not damage or abuse my bike than have it ridden by someone who tries and fails like most people, with the slamming the front down, choppy throttle, high revs etc...

I'm a mechanical engineer by the way.

Eeenywho.
Rear wheel bearings just replaced (hasn't been ridden since the front ones were done earlier, I was just waiting on delivery).

Valve clearances checked, all within spec. A few more pics with it looking slightly cleaner, with the RG3 shock and trailtech stand fitted.
