Yes, got a Pasini proddy 8.5.

Mini moto wheelies, it's not really anything at all to do with the mini moto, it's the riders ability to balance, pretty impressive if you're able to do good ones. Mr. Green

What mini moto have you got? Not what fairings have you got on it, what mini moto.

Just need to put the chain back on and it'll be complete, I've got the chain so not much to be done. Razz

Not going to use it for some time, another knock on the head for a bit which is fairly likely with minimoto. Doh!

Are the 250 quid mini motos any good or does it take you to spend about 600 on them? I wouldn't mind one at all for farting about on but I'd be jubious of the ones that wern't over 500 notes.

The ones to avoid generally are the cheaper import ones and the Blata ones. They are normally the ones which are made to look like a replica of a big bike (not Gav's, he did that himself Razz Laughing) and are more for showing off than riding. If you get one of those and take it to a track to use then you'll be overtaken by most people and get annoyed with it quite quickly.

You can spend less than £600, I got for £500 a second hand Pasini Proddy 8.5bhp (the cheap ones and blata ones are normally 3.4) with a large amount of spares; wheels, tyres, fairings, other assorted stuff, so you should be able to pick up a basic 6bhp+ one for less than that if you shop around.

Have a look on the Mini-moto Club website it's got lots of them listed for sale on it and lots of other general information.

If you're wanting one for actually using on a track then you're best of not getting one of the cheaper lower powered ones. If you're wanting it for car parks and other such stuff it'll be okay. You can go along to tracks (normally go kart tracks being used for minimoto for the evening) and pay £10 to use yours on the track all evening. You can also normally pay to rent a fairly reasonable one if you're unsure as to if you want to buy your own one. It costs £25 for 3x20mins at the place I normally go to or £10 for 20 mins, so not a good idea if you plan to be going on a semi-regular basic.

I see every body saying that the Blatino Minis are poo. Crying or Very sad I had one of them in the CBR rr colours. But i had it bored out to 60cc Very Happy , i also got the carb upjetted and got a light flywheel for it! Im sure it did over 40mph. Then i crashed it, bent the frame up, so i transfered the engine onto my Blatino goped. Wink so I converted my 25cc goped to a 60cc goped. Razz MONSTER!

Then sum wankers muged me while i was pushing it home cos it ran outa petrol!

Would it not have been cheaper and a better investment to spend the money on getting a more powerful minimoto rather than big bore kits etc? And the market when you come to sell it will be restricted to people who don't ever want to consider using them semi-competivly as it is 60cc not 40cc.

Doubt it did 40mph, that'd take a fair bit of up gearing and a big run up. And 40mph isn't a usable power for a minimoto, they're better down geared for lower speed power. Thumbs Up

Not really heard of many 'decent' model minimots with bent frames Confused.

Blata do make a 'proper' minimoto as well, but it's a 'super' with a claimed 13hp.

Theres mini moto at a local go kart track so for years I've been wanting to go up, never been bothered though. Presumibly you get the knee down every corner and they are very easy to come off?

Kneedown pretty much every corner yeah. You do crash a fair bit, and most of the time there isn't a problem as you're pretty much already on the ground so havn't got far to fall. Although Hex did manage to break a couple of ribs crashing in style. Mr. Green Laughing

Just make sure your arsing around is done on a kart track not in a car park. Tracks have started turning minimoto away because of the bad press from people getting hurt and causing a nusance in carparks. So if you want one make sure you've a track nearby to use it. As for the cheapy imports? they're shit. Hopefully the fad will pass over the winter.

I got a DM proddy by the way. we were touching 65mph at Whilton mill earlier this year. we're their again at the end of the month..... I feel a rebuild coming on Crying or Very sad

Wow. Both of 'em up on their little stands...so freaking cute, I'm going to vomit! Surprised Thumbs Up

I've always wanted one of those little f*ckers but they ONLY sell the crap ones in my neck of the woods. $200 for one that doesn't even look like it'd withstand the ride home. Rolling Eyes

Not many will be able to withstand riding them home. Laughing They're not for doing miles and miles on, they're for playing around on on go kart tracks etc.

The little stands are very useful, as how else would you park it up, or work on it easily?

I was under the impression that they were so light they either balance on their own or just kinda float there when you're not using them? Thinking
