What to expect?

Having a bit of a shitty year + so looking at doing a track day or 2 get into it see how it goes..

been riding years but on the road since 2009.

have an xj 600 and after loads of advice decided to take it out on the track.

what should i expect my first time round?

Any advice for a track noob?

Wheelies are encouraged and the marshals will wave a black flag in appreciation.

Either go for something like a taster session or a novice group only day. You can get one to one Instructor sessions on most trackdays...I think you can do this at circuits like Brands and Oulton Park for £25 for a 20 min session.

Try not to get involved racing people and just enjoy your day. You will learn more about your bike through out the day. Gradually improve speed rather than going out there hell bent on being Rossi and respect people slower or less confident than yourself. Don't just shove them out the way most of all just enjoy yourself mate.
